Jesse Wittry is a fourth-generation Colorado Native.
He moved to Montana when he was 20 for a job with the US Forest Service. For ten years, he worked with fisheries, fuels, fire, and timber sales. His well-rounded experience makes him an asset on most projects.
After USFS, he began doing residential tree work and fire mitigation. He then started his own forestry and fire mitigation company, Higher Ground. Higher Ground was bought out in 2 years; Jesse then spent three years building the company that acquired it. Since then, he has done forestry and extensive fire mitigation work in El Paso, Douglas, and Teller Counties, with entities such as NRCS, CUSP, Colorado State Forestry, and Colorado Springs Fire, just to name a few. Jesse has been part of cleaning up Waldo Canyon Fire, Black Forest Fire, and Hayman Fire.
Jesse and his family have moved to Fremont County seven months ago and will be part of the cleanup and prevention efforts to help with devastating fires such as Aspen Acres Fire. He would like to help his neighbors in any way he can- clean up, dirt work, erosion control, and fire mitigation.
